THE ONE PLACE IN VAUGHAN THAT MAKES YOU PAY FOR YOUR FOOD POISONING

Absolutely horrible experience. My wife and I arrived at approximately 2pm for a late breakfast. I had some eggs and French toast which tasted just fine, my wife had gotten the crab cakes - the crab cakes were spoiled and inedible (she had ordered these many times before and knows what they should taste like - they tasted like they were sitting in the sun all day). She had only taken a single bite off the plate.

I had went up to the front counter and saw our waitress and a younger man wearing a different shirt which gave me the impression he was the manager. I was EXTREMELY POLITE and had asked him if it was okay to send the food back and order something else.

Right off the bat he was extremely defensive and says that If I want to order something else I need to pay for the new order AND the spoiled crab cakes. Absolutely ridiculous, I couldn't believe what he had just told me. He went on to say that the diner is a franchise so they're going to make him pay for the crab they wasted. Are you kidding me? I guarantee that your corporate office would not be impressed when it comes to how you represent their brand.

How can you force your customer to pay for spoiled food. We were more than happy to pay for the food that we actually ate or a replacement meal. I have never encountered such terrible service. He might as well have put some mud on a plate and sent me the bill.

I asked what his name was, he took a long pause and said Steve- the way he said his name - im almost positive he lied to me because he knew he was in the wrong. He was a short guy with short black hair that looked like it was smothered in Vaseline, accompanied with a loud attitude and a stupid grin on his face.

When he saw that I was becoming agitated at the situation - he started screaming "GET A JOB, GET A JOB". To which I replied - I guarantee I make more money than you! And if you keep treating customers like that, there is no doubt in my mind that you'll be out of a job!

So unprofessional for him to yell at a customer like that.

For your reference "Steve" I wasn't trying to save a few dollars from your spoiled crab cakes, I just wanted my wife to have a decent breakfast. Making your customers pay for your spoiled meat isn't the right way to keep your empty diner alive, good customer service is.

Will never go there again, and will send corporate this complaint.

With all that being said - I have never complained to a corporate office before, I'm not that type of person. Sure there have been some other diners where things didn't go as planned, but the staff were always courteous and did their best to do right by me. Mr. Steve needs some lessons on how to run a diner. There's a reason this place has so many bad reviews.

My family and I Went for breakfast Sunday February 20, 2017. The food was good, only had a single cup of coffee, during the entire meal. The waiter came by just about at the end of our meal, to offer more coffee, and only had enough for a half a cup, then ran out. He said he will brew a fresh pot, BUT NEVER RETURNS. When we went to pay, the man at the counter would not make 2 separate bills, and had major attitude. Perhaps if one is unhappy with their job, they should seek another job. Last time for us at that place. No wonder no line up to get in, as did the other 3 we visited.
